Home School Agreement
Responsibilities of Families
The
family will:
-
Ensure that my
child goes to school regularly, arrives punctually and is appropriately
dressed within the school dress code, properly equipped for the day ahead.

Inform the school
as quickly as possible of any absence and provide a written explanation on
return.
-
Make the school
aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s well
being/behaviour.
-
Support and
respect the teacher’s professional integrity in delivering the curriculum
and maintaining high standards of behaviour.
-
Make every effort
to ensure that snacks and packed lunches are healthy and nutritious.
(Wherever possible not to contain nuts, due to the number of children in
school with severe allergies)

Attend parents’
evenings and reviews about my child’s progress.
-
Support my child
with homework and other opportunities for home learning.
-
Encourage my
child to participate fully in all curriculum activities and do their best at
all times.
-
Support the
Christian values of the school community.
Responsibilities of Pupils
Pupils
will:
-
Follow my class
agreement and the rules of the school.
-
Bring the
equipment I need everyday.
-
Wear the school
uniform with pride and be tidy in appearance.
-
Do my homework as
well as I can and bring it to school on time.
-
Remember that I
represent school both inside and outside of it.
-
Try to understand
other people, their needs, cultures, beliefs, opinions and ideas.

Feel proud to
belong to the school.
School’s Responsibilities
The
school will :

Provide a safe,
caring, happy and stimulating environment in which your child can make good
progress, feel valued, gain in confidence, be healthy, learn well, develop
social skills and form good friendships.

Work to enable
your child to achieve their full potential as a valued member of the school
community.

Encourage your
child to do their best at all times and to keep the school rules and their
class agreement in order to promote good behaviour.

Inform you at an
early stage, of any concerns we may have, relating to your child’s learning
or behaviour.

Follow the
appropriate procedures if there is a concern with attendance or wellbeing.

Provide an annual
written report on your child’s progress, attitude and achievement.

Keep you informed
about general school matters and class activities through Newsletters,
website and parent’s consultations.

Be open and
welcoming and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the life of
a Church of England Primary School.

Provide for the
spiritual, moral and emotional welfare of the child in a safe, well ordered
and caring environment

Provide a broad,
balanced and flexible curriculum where children can enjoy and achieve.

Achieve high
standards of work and behaviour through building good relationships and
encouraging self-discipline, a sense of responsibility, fair play and team
work.
